Ear Specula

Ear Specula is round and curved tube having different diameter at both ends. Is made of Disposable Plastic. Inner end diameter is smaller to match with diameter of ear canal for ease of surgery.

Clinical Indications:

Ear Specula is supporting devices and consumables that are used after a total laryngectomy (removal of larynx), to help the patient breathe, speak, and manage secretions.

Contraindications:

• Active infection, inflammation, or acute discharge (otitis externa or otitis media).
• Known or suspected tympanic membrane (eardrum) perforation.
• Visible trauma, lacerations, or foreign objects tightly wedged against the eardrum.
• An uncooperative or moving patient where direct sight cannot be constantly maintained.

Safety:

• Discontinue curettage immediately if bleeding, irritation, or other trauma to the ear canal or tympanic membrane occurs.
• Do not reuse: if the device is reused, it may cause harmful effect or infection to patient.
• The device is for single use only. Do not re-sterilize or re-use.
• Do not use if the packaging has been opened or damaged.
• This device is not designed, sold, or, intended for use except as indicated or prescribed by a Physician.
